Zurich Airport (LSZH)

Yesterday landed in Zürich. The approach is quite challenging. We had an A380 behind us, meaning we flew the ILS initially at 180, then at 160 kts. Only in the last 4 miles could we focus on our approach speed. Taxiing to GA was easier than expected, but there were constant handoffs between Apron and Tower on the ground because you have to cross an active runway. It’s a bit stressful if you’re not used to it. Slot is mandatory. Strong recommendation for handling: mfgz (handling@mfgz.ch). Very professional and exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Total price 411,80 Fr. They also arrange fueling. Both Jet A1 and AVGAS available. Paid with BP Sterling Card.

I was there for the AOPA flight safety training. Mixed VFR/IFR traffic; the tower remains very relaxed. Never had any issues flying IFR approaches. AVGAS and Jet A1 are available on the field. Happy to return.

Approach over the Bernina; we were then too high to land directly, so we flew an extra circuit to land on runway 03. Tower was completely relaxed, and on the ground everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. The online briefing/training makes sense; we had an FI on board, so we were allowed to depart again without further training. The on-field restaurant is highly recommended. We arrived VFR; IFR in actual IMC would be a real challenge.

The AFIS officer was completely relaxed and immediately offered us coffee. Extremely friendly and helpful. AVGAS was also available. A highly recommended airfield.

Excellent approach over the Bodensee. Everyone exceptionally friendly. No issues.
Nuernberg Airport (EDDN)

Was there again a couple of days ago. Tower again very friendly and relaxed. AIS was a bit distant this time, but OK. Only the marshaller was having a bad day. I was standing half a meter next to the yellow line and he completely lost it.
Was at EDDN today (IFR). No slot or PPR required. Everyone very friendly. Landing fee incl. GAT-Fee for twin-engine Cessna 414 (MTOW 2880kg), taxes included: 113,20 €. AVGAS paid with AirBP card. They come to the aircraft with a fuel truck.

For training purposes, flew an ILS approach followed by holding, and an RNP approach. Tower was very relaxed and friendly. I haven't received the invoice yet, but the subsequent contact with the administration was exceptionally friendly as well.

I can only confirm it: very nice people there. Absolutely helpful. Landing fee and approach charge approx. 100 € for a twin‑engine aircraft with 2880 MTOW. That’s OK. Nice restaurant.
Syros / Dimitrios Vikelas Airport (LGSO)

Very friendly people there. Handling service by Skyserv. The landing fee for a Cessna 414 with 2880 MTOW was 60,60 € with AOPA Crew Card. AVGAS paid with Air BP Sterling Card. Customs possible, when leaving Greece from Syros to other countries.
Oxford Airport (EGTK)

We flew IFR from EDLN to EGTK and back yesterday. Preparing with GAR and PPR is a bit involved. Got vectors to the ILS 19. Everyone on site was very friendly. ATC kept giving us headings, but they were mostly identical to the waypoints. All in all, uneventful flights. The landing fee for the 414 (2880kg) totaled 207,60 GBP, which equated to 239,30 €. The AVGAS fuel truck came to the aircraft; we were able to pay with AirBP. One liter of AVGAS cost 2,80€.
Erfurt Weimar Airport (EDDE)

Yesterday we flew VFR from Mönchengladbach to Erfurt. Requested an RNP approach; Tower cleared us immediately without any issues. Everyone at the airport was very friendly, both Tower and the GAT. We were offered a drink right away. The coffee, freshly ground, was very good. Landing fee for Cessna 414 (MTOW 2880 kg): total 110 €.
Hamburg Airport (EDDH)

Visited on 23 Dec 2025. Everyone very friendly and helpful. All slots were adhered to. All-in landing fee for a Cessna 414 (MTOW = 2880 kg) amounted to 230,50 €. Despite being an international airport, no problem for GA. Everyone relaxed.
Reims Prunay Airport (LFQA)

Flew to Reims yesterday. Interesting arrival. Although the airfield has neither a control zone nor ATC, you don’t have to switch from IFR to VFR. RNP Approach to runway 07. Paris Radar vectors you close to the field and then releases you with the instruction to continue at "own discretion." On base leg you then call Prunay Info. Departure is straightforward as well. Prunay Info gives you the transponder code and frequency, and after takeoff you simply check in with Radar. The people on the field are very friendly and helpful. However, the lunch break is sacred; you should neither arrive nor depart during that time. Pre-notification via the platform cy.myhandlingsoftware.com is convenient and apparently usable for many airfields in France. That way they already have all your data on site and you receive the acceptance via e-mail in advance. Filling it out is a bit tricky the first time because you have to enter a lot of data about the aircraft and crew—among other things the Firecat. I had never heard of it before, but the folks at the field are happy to help with patient information. After that it’s saved for future use. English is no problem. The landing fee for the Cessna 414 (MTOW = 2880kg) was about 140 €. And then you’re right in the middle of Champagne!
