Very good airport – I was honestly surprised, as I somehow remembered some rather negative comments. My experience was completely different.

I contacted handling in advance and explained what I needed. On arrival there was some activity, including airline traffic, but the handling agent still personally guided me to the fuel station, assisted with refuelling, helped with parking the aircraft on the Central Apron and arranged a taxi. The distances between apron and terminal were very short and everything was easy to manage.

Very friendly, helpful and uncomplicated throughout. I can definitely recommend Ostrava.

AVGAS was about €2.70/litre. Landing, handling and overnight parking together were €73, which I found more than fair.

Very nice airfield and in excellent condition, as mentioned in previous reviews. The airfield was unattended, so I made blind calls on the radio as usual.

Contact beforehand was a little difficult. Nobody spoke English by phone. I finally used the contact form on the website and wrote in Polish using Google Translate. That worked and I received the information I needed.

After landing, a gentleman came to help me. He also did not speak English, but communication worked well. He showed me everything for refuelling and then took me to the office/card reader. Payment by Visa card was possible without any problem.

Overall a very good experience. Friendly, uncomplicated once on site, and I would definitely use Kaniów again.

Contacted the operator by email two days in advance and received a quick reply. As mentioned in other reviews, there is quite a lot of flight school traffic.
AVGAS available (€3.20/l excl. VAT). The fuel pump was inoperative on the first day, but had been repaired by the following day.

Everyone at the airfield was kind and friendly. Runway and taxiways were in good condition. Maintenance available at the airfield.

Landing fee: €14/t. PPR departure outside published operating hours: +€40/t. Paid €108 in total for a C172, including two days of parking.
