Asturias Airport (LEAS)
by cp • 2026-08-16 20:04:41 UTC
We were in Asturias for the 2026 solar eclipse for three nights. The airport was therefore very busy. Handling is now mandatory for GA flights as well. The various handlers are listed in the AIP. South Europe Ground Services offers a basic service at the most favorable rates (€14,66). Transport to and from the aircraft and provision of the fuel truck are included. On the day of departure, the Avgas truck was already at the aircraft upon our arrival. Avgas, however, is very expensive, hence a deduction.
Fees August 2026 (TB10, incl. VAT):
Avgas 100LL: €3,66 / liter
Avgas hookup fee: €15,75
Handling: €14,66
Landing: €14,00
Service fee: €6,90
Parking: €23,60 / day
Pau Pyrenees Airport (LFBP)

We were en route to and from Asturias and made two fuel stops at Pau. Due to major reconstruction work, the airport is closed to external VFR flights (NOTAM). IFR arrivals and departures were still possible, and the overall handling is extremely straightforward. Refueling is self-service with a BP card. Send a prior request to trafic@pau.aeroport.fr. They will then ask for the address and send an invoice, which has not yet arrived.
Clermont Ferrand Auvergne Airport (LFLC)
by cp • 2026-08-16 17:01:18 UTC
Billing in Clermont Ferrand is now handled via https://www.touchngo.fr as well. After registration you create an aircraft profile and, using that profile, create a flight with the relevant data. An invoice is generated in the background, which you can pay directly via the app. When creating the flight I left a note that no additional handling services were required.
GA parking is "V" all the way on the west side, near the fuel station. Entry and exit to/from the area is through a door (keypad code) by the Aero-Club (which is directly next to the "V" parking).
Self-service refueling with a Total card.
Charges in August 2026 (TB10):
Parking: €24,10 / day
I only parked for two days but paid for three. In return, no landing fee was charged.
Avignon Caumont Airport (LFMV)
by cp • 2026-08-16 16:47:00 UTC
Very straightforward aerodrome for a stay in southern France. We wanted to go to Arles, and Nimes-Garons turned us away due to limited parking capacity.
PPR for parking is mandatory here as well and is both requested and paid via https://www.touchngo.fr. Registration on touchngo.fr is therefore mandatory. AVGAS fueling with the Total card via self-service.
Nice: A Sixt rental car can be prebooked and the keys picked up directly at the C-Office. Drive to/from Arles between 40 and 60 minutes.
Fees in August 2026 (TB10):
Landing: €27,92
Parking: €13,96 / day
Administration Fee: €3,40
Stockholm/Västerås Airport (ESOW)
by cp • 2026-06-14 05:28:21 UTC
Straightforward aerodrome with everything you need. We announced our flight by email to flightrequest@vasterasairport.se, where you also receive an access code for the airport grounds. Additionally, register PPR via https://vasterasairport.se/om-flygplatsen/registrera-flygplan.html if landing or departing outside Tower hours. These are published by NOTAM. Landing plus one night of parking costs 150SEK for a TB10. Refueling is Self-Service with BP-Carnet. We went to Västeras by bus and returned by Uber (ca. 11€).
Barth Airport (EDBH)
by cp • 2026-06-12 18:51:41 UTC
Very good airfield as a base for heading north or as a final destination. IFR procedures are unfortunately suspended at the moment, but otherwise everything you need is available, including Avgas. Very well-maintained bicycles can be borrowed; the ride to the harbor takes no longer than 15 minutes. Barth is a really charming harbor town.
Costs (TB10):
Landing: €14
Parking: €12/night
Flight plan filing: €3 (DFS)
Bicycle rental: €6 without motor, €20 with motor (per day)
