Cheb Airport (LKCB)

by Eckard2026-07-13 06:42:29 UTC

The aerodrome is located south of Cheb / Eger and north of the lake. Landing fees are on a voluntary basis. Avgas 2,80 €/l. Coffee available in the clubhouse. Taxi to town 10 €. You can easily spend a few hours in Eger. The taxiway runs along the edge of the concrete runway. Landing on grass (south of the concrete runway) is also possible. Departures are also possible outside the published hours.

Karlovy Vary Airport (LKKV)

by Eckard2026-07-13 06:37:46 UTC

Flight from Germany to LKKV on a flight plan. Arrival via Whisky1 route (Whisky–Bravo). Lots of training traffic with C152s.
Parking stands are equipped with tie-down rings.
Picked up at the aircraft by an apron vehicle. Payment then in the building (landing fee calculated by rounding up to whole tons). For us, <1 t: 1040 cKr = €43 for landing and one night. Transfer into Karlsbad by UBER or BOLT, slightly cheaper than a taxi (about €10.50). Karlsbad was very busy due to the 60th film festival.
Aerodrome opens on Saturday from 0900 local. Access via the baggage security checkpoint, then shuttle back to the aircraft.
Departure via Whisky1 departure route, direct Whisky without Bravo. This deconflicts arriving and departing traffic. Good English on FIS and Tower.

Konstanz Airport (EDTZ)

by Eckard2026-06-20 07:50:09 UTC

The airfield was bone dry and therefore serviceable without issues. However, the runway condition is a bit bumpy. Landing fee Aquila: 11,60€. Refueling facility not used. Very friendly operations manager! We only used the airfield as a stopover.

Colmar Houssen Airport (LFGA)

by Eckard2026-06-20 07:41:51 UTC

Coming from Germany (D), landed there with an Aquila. Shortly before the border, Zürich Information handed us off directly to Colmar. Although the aerodrome has no control zone, you receive a landing clearance from Tower. Landing fee + 4h parking = 16,10€. A bus stop is right at the exit (Line D, Airport, 2€, cash or card). Get off at the stop Theatre. The bus runs several times per hour. Caution: Line D has two different termini; only take bus Line D Airport.
Airfield access after 17h: use the gate next to the Tower. The code is the first 4 digits of the aerodrome frequency.
Colmar is always worth a visit.
Fuel is also available, but we did not use it.
Airfield access is also possible via the gate on the side of the Tower. Code: the first 4 digits of the aerodrome frequency.
