This airfield has everything a regional airfield is able to offer, except a coffee bar, a restaurant or anything else for a rest. This is the only reason for the missing fifth star. All kind of fuel? check yes. Bicycles? check yes. car rental? check yes. Very friendly staff. ( consider vests are mandatory!) The region around is actually a reason to go there: Darß, Barth.. etc. 26,-€ for landing an 3hour parking is not cheap, but tolerable.

What more could one improve at a German aerodrome? Nothing! Friendly tower/AFIS staff, a pleasant, unpretentious and affordable restaurant, warmly run, with a terrace. And the icing on the cake: the Avgas price at a self-serve pump (card payment) is comparatively low. Trust-based, accommodating landing fee arrangement even without aeroapps. 'We’ll make a bank transfer!' — 'Roger.' The approach to runway 07, due to a large industrial building on final, is a little scary? demanding? something to get used to? In any case, it’s ultimately easy to fly. In the circuit, flying around the Kaliberg serves as a clearly visible reference point.

What more can one say about Straubing besides praise? Well laid out, friendly; the much-lauded restaurant is apparently closed for good (?), cleared out. The pilot only wonders to whom a 20-minute wait at the runway holding point due to a missing IFR clearance for the aircraft ahead should be attributed—the pilot, Straubing, or ATC?

Fehrbellin, EDBF is far out im anywhere. Contradiction, but Fehrbellin is close to Berlin, just 50km to the south east. No taxi, no bus, no railway. The A24 is nearby, sometimes one or two cars by app2drive.
Severe parachute activity demands a sharp look out, listening to the radio and never fly a midfield crossing. Enter the pattern as published. Helpful is the virtuell FLARM circle for those who are equipped with. No taxiway, enough parking place in gras. Overnight shelter rare until impossible.
Except Avgas ( check the price!) ist no technical device available. Landing fee is according to the service ambitious. The restaurant, more bistro, offers very good food in a small menue on tough prices. The terasse is a nice spot looking to the parachute landings.

On the approach you first recognize the huge photovoltaic, landing on 26 try to make a long landing. The C and all the facitilities are closed to the holding point 08. To leave the airport needs a pretty long walk.
