Pilot Comments for KBFI
Thomas
Good customs field for returning back from Canada with a Citation Mustang. Uneventful FBO, Modern Aviation - CAA fuel prices. 1 gal of fuel waives the ramp fee. Overnight fee was $50.
Big annoyance: They wanted to charge me $150 for simply towing me from customs to the FBO. That‘s really bad service, it wouldn‘t have cost them anything, but it costed me a full startup cycle on the engines.
US Customs phone numbers to call at least 1 hr before when coming from Canada:
206 553-1920
206 901 3200
360-332-4413
206-553-7960
If nobody answers the phone or it’s constantly busy like in my case, send them an email: SEA.GA@cbp.dhs.gov ... I got a reply after less than 30 minutes with a permission to land.

Information from pirep.io:
Description: BFI is located in extremely busy airspace with SeaTac just to the south and Renton to the east. A thorough briefing of the airspace and a review of the VFR routes before arriving would be a good idea. Note that practice IFR approaches are not allowed. The Museum of Flight is located on the southwest corner of the field. A few parking spots for fly-in visitors are available. See https://www.museumofflight.org/visit/parking-and-directions for details. The Hangar Cafe is a short walk outside the gate from the transient parking on the north end of the field.
Transient Parking: There are only four transient parking spots on the airport-owned ramps. Two are in the very northeast corner (see annotations) and two in the southwest corner adjacent to the Museum of Flight parking. These must be reserved in advance and have hourly & daily fees. See the tie-down fees section below for costs and contact info for reservations. A detailed map of parking is available here: https://kingcounty.gov/~/media/services/airport/documents/pilot-info/kbfi-transient-parking.ashx?la=en As an alterative, there are three FBOs on the field that have parking available to at a variety of fees depending on your aircraft types.
