Civil Airfield Huetten Hotzenwald (EDSF)

Unfortunately, the airfield can currently be used only by motorized aircraft explicitly named in the approval. It is not possible via PPR either, as it requires an off-airfield takeoff and landing permit from Regierungspräsidium Stuttgart… The focus is clearly on glider operations. However, there are occasional opportunities to land here on an “open day.” Information at: www.lghotzenwald.de Alternatively, the colleagues at EDTR would certainly welcome a visit.
Civil Airfield Bremgarten (EDTG)

Bremgarten is, in and of itself, a nice and great aerodrome with a large, well-maintained runway. The level of service is limited and the opening hours, especially on weekends, are rather short; no flying without the operations manager, no night operations. Which is why I tend to advise against the field; there are many fee traps! - Aircraft, even with enhanced noise certification, can easily pay over €100 for a landing fee. Be sure to check prior to arrival - Flight plan activation or closure costs extra, even if it has already been closed - Customs clearance costs extra - Runway lighting is billed before and after Sunrise/Sunset—whether requested or not.
Positive: + There is a flight planning room with a drinks vending machine in the tower + The Flyingbar is a real asset
As an alternative I recommend: EDTF or LFGA
Airport Colmar Houssen (LFGA)

Absolutely recommended, also for training! Controller friendly, easy to understand, and flexible. Payment via Aerops is possible; alternatively at the fire department in the main building (not always staffed). Maintenance facility and hotel on the field. NVFR, IFR and PCL (the latter PPR) are available. Landing fee up to 2 t only 13.50 Euro, touch-and-go only 6.75 Euro! Refueling via AirBP card.
Airport Portoroz/Secovlje (LJPZ)

On 3 June 2017 stayed in Portoroz for one night. Great field for customs when heading toward Croatia and excellent service. Shuttle to Piran cost €18 each way for 2 people, and pickup the next morning was also no problem! AVGAS €1.93/l.
International Airport Ljubljana Jože Pučnik (LJLJ)
by Y. • 2017-06-09 00:00:00 UTC
Was at LJLJ on 8.6.17 for a fuel stop and passport control. Handling (20 € at MTOW of 780 kg) is mandatory and comparatively expensive (probably due to the operator Fraport). Prior notification for under 12 t is not required. Refueling via fuel truck at 1.93 €/l AVGAS. The GAT is new, including Wi‑Fi, toilets, showers, and a beverage vending machine. Sandwiches etc. are available at the main terminal (5 min on foot). Controller was friendly, straightforward, and easy to understand.
Civil Airfield Trento / Mattarello (LIDT)
by Y. • 2017-06-09 00:00:00 UTC
For a short fuel stop on 3 Jun 2017, it was a good airfield. Approach was straightforward. Be advised: departure to the east quickly leads into high terrain. Radio contact with Padova Information and Bozen from the Brenner direction was almost not possible. Card payment was accepted; AVGAS €2.27/l.
International Airport Split/Saint Jerome (LDSP)
by Y. • 2017-06-09 00:00:00 UTC
Handling was requested the day before via http://www.split-airport.hr and confirmed within 30 minutes. After landing, the handling agent’s behavior was almost impudent, and only after presenting the written confirmation were we allowed to park on the virtually empty GA Apron. However, via email the parking could be extended by one night in a friendly, quick, and flexible manner. On the day of departure, the aircraft, contrary to what had been agreed, was not tied down, which, given the wind, was not without risk. Split itself is nice. Transport either via Air Croatia bus for 30 HRK per person or for about 185–220 HKR via Uber.
