Airport Belluno (LIDB)
by Meff • 2025-12-22 18:31:01 UTC
LIDB-Belluno, December 2025, large grass airfield in a wide valley. The preferred runway is 23, wind permitting. The threshold markers and runway markings are difficult to see on final approach and only become visible late. Be prepared to correct your flight path or go around. The grass runway is in good condition. Park to the right from runway 23. Fuel station, mogas and 100LL. The airfield is not always staffed but is often quite busy. Small cafe. A Western restaurant is located opposite the road. A few meters down the road to the right is another restaurant. A large supermarket with a mall and food service is a few minutes' walk north. German 600 kg class aircraft: €12 landing fee.
Civil Airfield Trento / Mattarello (LIDT)

LIDT-Trento, December 2025, good and convenient as always. If you're approaching from the north over the mountains with FLP and haven't been able to contact Padua Information over the Timmelsjoch or Reschenpass, the tower at LIDT requires you to report in by the time you reach Bolzano, even if you're not flying through the ATZ there. They would then report the arriving aircraft to Trento. This hasn't been the case before. Tower, refueling, restaurant, hotel, aviation museum – all top-notch as always and directly at the airport. German 600kg class landing fee: €15.
Civil Airfield Vinon (LFNF)

LFNF, 2 Sep 2025
The asphalt strip on the left edge of Runway 28 is intended for powered aircraft. Per locals, these should use it rather than the grass runway.
Expect heavy glider activity, even on weekdays. Plan arrivals from the north or west. Runway 28 is the preferred runway. Do not extend the downwind over Vinon to the east; there is a Prohibited Area very close to the south, so keep the traffic pattern tight.
Avgas 100LL available at €2.81/L.
Restaurant Le Planeur is a 5–10 minute walk. Open 7 days a week from 1100–1400 and 1800–2130. Quality not tested. Delivery service from €8.
Highlight of the field: the Bibliotheque Maguy Marcy in the club room. A shelf full of vintage aviation periodicals dating back to the 1960s, e.g., Icare – Revue de l’aviation française.
There is a coffee vending machine and water. Shaded terrace for sitting and observing.
