As a homebase its quite a nice airfield to fly from with 3 runways. It is a sensitive airfield. When its has rained the field is soggy and can be limited to no touch&goes, only 2-seaters, only flight lessons and helicopters or only helicopters. There are gliders and sometimes skydiving in progress. The glider winch is usually next to the active runway on the other side of the circuit. Pay attention when runway 30/12 is active the circuit of the glider crosses at the west side of the airfield. Ground transportation is only possible by taxi.
The is no hangarage available. There are 2 maintaince shops available Maintain-A-Plane +3135582 3778 (no website) and Vliegschool Hilversum www.vliegschool-hilversum.nl
