Nice small grass airfield. Operated by the club “Luftsportverein Sauerland”.

The airfield is PPR; although authorized for “flying without an operations manager,” farm roads cross the runway and run at each end, and they must be closed with barriers prior to flight operations.

The runways have a significant slope of around 3 degrees or 80 ft between the thresholds. This should be taken into account for landing distance on Runway 07 and takeoff distance on Runway 25. Glider operations (aerotow only) at the field. Do not overfly noise-sensitive villages nearby.

No published traffic pattern; noise-sensitive are the "Wildwald Voßwinkel" to the south, the town of Wickede to the north, and the clinic to the west of the airfield.

The standard traffic pattern is to the north; the above mentioned town of Wickede should be avoided.

The glider airfield Menden-Barge to the west, Class D airspace from 2,500 ft MSL, and the Dortmund control zone (Class D) must be observed.
