Good airfield with lots of traffic from various flight schools. ATC very clear and straightforward. Plenty of parking available. On the Inner Downwind, watch out for the Restricted Area! Fees are approx. CHF 20 for 600 kg.

LSZG (Grenchen) is a busy general aviation airport with three runways, including a well-maintained grass strip. Both VFR and IFR operations are supported, with IFR requiring PPR/slot during RMZ periods and for VFR night. The airport alternates between an active CTR (09:00–17:00 LT daily) and an RMZ outside these hours; IFR departures when the tower is closed require prior slot coordination and phone clearance from Bern Approach.
