Melun Villaroche Airport (LFPM)

Large airfield with ILS and IFR departures possible outside tower hours; clearance is given on the ground via Seine 118.05. When the tower is not staffed, blind calls are made in French. Not all apron parking spots are available to visiting aircraft, and access codes for the airfield should be arranged in advance. Fuel is available with Total card; credit card payment is only partially possible, and refueling may require coordination with other pilots or fire crew. Example: landing fee about €30, though some visitors have not been able to pay or found no fee required. Handling is mandatory above 3 tonnes MTOW. Many hangar spaces are available for short-term rental, and maintenance facilities are present.

No on-field restaurant; Uber to Melun takes about 15 minutes, followed by a roughly 30-minute train ride to Paris. The Safran museum nearby closes for a month in July-August; exit from the airport is via a green gate using the tower frequency as code. Procedures vary; see AIP/NOTAM.
