Airport with scheduled commercial operations from November to March, which activates the PCZSAR and makes possession of a CIME card mandatory to access aircraft on the South Apron.

Grenoble (LFLS) is a large, GA-friendly airport with a 3 km runway, ILS on runway 09, and RNP approaches. VFR and IFR operations are straightforward, with no PPR or customs notification required for most arrivals under 3t MTOW; customs is available during ATC hours. The airport is suitable for both quick technical stops and longer stays, with efficient ATC and ground handling in excellent English. The business aviation terminal (businessaviation@grenoble-airport.com) provides helpful support and organizes parking; opening hours are typically 0700Z–1600Z for administration and 0500Z–1900Z for tower.
Landing fees for non-commercial GA are low, with multiple examples between €12 and €20 for single landings and overnight parking. Example: landing fee about €20. Parking overnight is available, with examples around €10. Payment is accepted by BP card or major credit cards.
Fuel (100LL and Jet A1) is reliably available via truck at the aircraft stand, with prompt service. Facilities include a modern GA terminal with clean crew rooms, toilets, and soft drinks; coffee is often complimentary. A restaurant is located near the terminal (Le Grillon), about 200 meters on foot, offering good meals; another recommended option is Le Domaine de Dony (www.domainededony.com), about 20 km away, which offers pickup service when available and a pilot discount.
Ground transport to Grenoble city takes about 30–45 minutes by taxi, which can be expensive (examples up to €90 one way). Car hire is possible but may not be available out of hours; arrangements through the handler may help.
The airfield infrastructure is in excellent condition. Security checks can be thorough at times. No significant noise or procedural constraints are reported for non-commercial GA under 3t MTOW. For customs when arriving from or departing to non-Schengen countries and wishing to leave the airport grounds, advance notice by email may be required in some cases; see AIP/NOTAM if unsure.
LFLS offers efficient service, low fees, reliable customs access, quality facilities, and friendly staff—well suited for non-commercial general aviation flights including fuel stops and cross-border operations.
