Payment is made at the Operations Office located in the old terminal, about 8 minutes on foot from the new terminal; the process is friendly and efficient. The airport is generally quiet with low traffic and a reputation for bureaucratic processes, sometimes requiring significant walking between terminals for flight planning and security. Staff are described as helpful and friendly. The airport is approximately 6 km from León’s city center, with taxi rides to the city or train station costing around €20.
