Flew in on a flight plan, so no issues if delayed as they have your strip. Especially as winter weather can delay your departure in the morning.
Took a taxi into the city centre and as it was freezing, found a good Ramen place. Plenty around so have a good look. £34.78 incl an ILS approach.

I found a couple of errors:

The normal opening hours are currently 0800-1800 Local time although, as you say, we have been having some disruption due to ATC sickness lately.
Weekend flying requires an Out of Hours permit which is normally only available to based pilots although I do know of one exception to the based pilots rule.

PPR is required and can be arranged by phone at +33 1223 293737. Standard opening hours are typically 1000–1800 local, with restrictive weekend availability and occasional closures due to staffing; check NOTAMs for current status. After 1800 local, landing incurs significantly higher fees due to mandatory handling. Both grass and hard parking are available; grass parking is included or cheaper, while hard parking costs extra.
Landing fees for non-resident GA aircraft up to 2 tonnes are about £30–£35, with overnight parking around £20. Example: landing about £40, overnight parking about £30. Fees increase substantially for heavier aircraft and when handled by the FBO. Payment is usually at the aeroclub or FBO, VAT is charged on all services.
AVGAS and Jet A1 are available by fuel truck; payment is at the aeroclub. Airside access requires a gate code or staff assistance. Hi-vis vests are mandatory on the apron (available for purchase if needed).
Taxis into Cambridge city centre cost about £10–£30 depending on provider and time; ride-hailing apps like Bolt work well. A bus stop outside the airport offers service every 10 minutes to the city centre. Electric scooters and bikes can be rented nearby via mobile app. Several hotels are within short taxi or bus rides; some are within walking distance of the city.
Noise abatement procedures require avoiding overflight of Cambridge below 2000 feet on departure. Circling over the city for sightseeing is possible with tower coordination at or above this altitude.

EGSC is suitable for non-commercial general aviation with efficient ATC, friendly ground staff, and good access to Cambridge city and local attractions such as Duxford Air Museum.
