Nice Info/AFIS aerodrome on the island’s northeastern coast with little scheduled traffic. There is an RNP and an NDB approach. VFR arrival without fixed routes in coordination with AFIS – flight plan required! Outside AFIS duty hours there is apparently a security guard present who can let you out of the premises – prior coordination is advisable.
AFIS with perfect English, everyone very helpful overall. Also consider AIP Supplements for long-term planning (events, temporary restricted areas, etc.).
The island offers a few quiet beaches, some sights, and otherwise a lot of forest. A car is highly recommended for exploring. We got one at short notice and without bureaucracy from Tevi Car (tevi.ee, cash only, taxi Airport – Tevi approx. 12 EUR).
Fees at 1.4 t: landing approx. 16 EUR, nav charge approx. 6 EUR, parking just under 4 EUR/day.
Runway, apron, and buildings are in excellent condition. Outside AFIS hours, operations use blind calls; Avgas is available all day. Payment is not possible outside AFIS hours; landing and fuel invoices are sent by email. A flight notification form must be completed in the office. VFR arrivals require a flight plan and coordination with AFIS; there are RNP and NDB approaches. AFIS staff speak excellent English and are helpful. Car hire is available through Tevi Car (tevi.ee, cash only), with taxi from airport to Tevi about €20. Example: landing fee about €20. Example: navigation charge about €10.
