Civil Airfield Eichsfeld (EDHD)

PPR is required and handled in a friendly, uncomplicated manner, including at weekends. The airfield features an asphalt runway and a well-maintained grass runway, with limited parking on asphalt and additional parking on grass. No fuel is available. Hangar space may be available if free. There is no regular café or restaurant, though coffee may occasionally be offered.

Ground transport to Heilbad-Heiligenstadt (5–6 km) is by taxi, which can take some time to arrive and costs about €30 per trip. From Heilbad-Heiligenstadt, train connections to Göttingen are available.

Landing fees are around €40. Example: landing fee about €40. Overnight grass parking has been noted as an option. Light turbulence may occur on approach from the east with certain winds due to surrounding terrain and trees.
