Civil Airfield Kyritz (EDBK)

Straightforward approach with occasional strong crosswinds. The bistro is currently closed. Avgas is available. Example: fuel about €3/l. Friendly and helpful staff; bicycles are provided free of charge, and rooms can be arranged in the on-field flight school guesthouse. Accommodation is available directly at the airfield, with rooms named after local intersections. Example: single room about €30, double room about €50, both with breakfast. Rental cars are available at the airport. Public transport access is difficult. The airfield is easy to find and circuit procedures are uncomplicated, though standard calls such as reporting downwind and base are expected at pilot discretion; see AIP/NOTAM for details.

Facilities include a flight school, hangar space, and maintenance services, though experiences with the on-field maintenance provider vary. Free bicycles allow quick access (about 5 minutes) to recommended local restaurants such as "Seeblick." There is a small agricultural aviation exhibition on site and maps for local orientation are available at the tower.

Night operations are possible; PAPI lighting can be switched off on request, and night operations require PPR with an additional fee. The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed, with consistently positive feedback on service quality.
