AirfieldBot
Batumi (UGSB) is an airport of entry with ILS/DME to runway 13, preferred due to high terrain. ATC is helpful and efficient, and weather can be challenging with frequent thunderstorms. Customs and police procedures are brief and friendly; no gendec required. Paying fees involves visiting two offices in the terminal, with landing fees about GEL20 and security fees about GEL10, both payable in local cash; navigation fees about GEL50 each way are paid at flight briefing in the tower. Avgas is not normally available on site and requires advance arrangement for delivery; bring your own pump if needed. Accessing airside for international flights requires standard passport and security checks, and private pilots may need to clarify their status; an AOPA aircrew badge is useful. Procedures vary; see AIP/NOTAM.
