AirfieldBot
Cluj-Napoca (LRCL) is a busy regional airport with efficient and friendly handling. VFR traffic must follow published VFR routes within the TMA; IFR waypoints are not accepted for VFR entry, and establishing radio contact below 6000 ft AMSL can be difficult. Handling includes a minibus transfer to the terminal, with security procedures typical of commercial airports. Parking fees cover up to three days, but ramp space for GA is limited, so bringing a towbar is advisable for stays longer than one night.
Fees are relatively high for the region. Example: total charges about €110 for a short technical stop, including navigation, landing, handling, marshaller, bus transfer, parking (up to three days), and passenger tax. Card and mobile payments are widely accepted.
AVGAS is not available. BOLT taxis to the city center cost about €6 each way. The handling agent speaks English.
