Viseu Airport (LPVZ)

LPVZ is a small, friendly airfield suitable for VFR operations. The airfield sits on a hill, which can mean it remains open when fog or low cloud affects the area, but there is no local weather reporting available; official weather information must be obtained by phone via the C office if needed. Both Jet and Avgas are available.

Personnel are described as very friendly and helpful. Parking is directly next to the terminal. Hi-Vis jackets are required on the apron. When scheduled airline flights arrive, GA pilots may be asked to leave the terminal for security reasons but can return once commercial activity concludes.

Landing fees vary: Example: landing fee about €30. There is a restaurant (Retiro do Caçador) located 400 meters from the aerodrome.
