Civil Airfield Santarem (LPSR)

No airport fees. Uncontrolled G airspace with optional airport radio, mostly in English, and flight following available from Lisboa Information. ATC flight plans must be closed with Lisboa by phone after landing or activated after departure. Runway extensions/displaced thresholds are uneven and should not be used for takeoff or landing; use only marked runway areas. Hangarage is sometimes available, and 100LL fuel can be arranged through Sr. Georgino at Dunas maintenance, typically present during weekday working hours. The airport is unfenced but staffed 24/7 by fire department personnel. Ground transport to Lisbon takes about 45 minutes by taxi or one hour by train.
