Lanzen Turnau Airport (LOGL)

Idyllic airfield in a scenic valley with a well-maintained 505 m grass runway at 2575 ft elevation. In warm conditions and depending on aircraft weight, about 150 m of grass before runway 25 may be usable for takeoff. PPR required on weekends, which can be arranged directly via radio on 122.505; flying without an airfield operator for early or late operations is possible by prior arrangement. No departures allowed during the midday break from 13:00 to 14:30 local time on Saturdays and Sundays. Example: landing fee about €20. The airfield is noted for its friendly atmosphere and occasional model aerobatics displays. Approaches to runway 07 require caution due to a steep drop before the threshold.
