Civil Airfield Torino / Aeritalia (LIMA)

PPR is required, and landing may not be possible if the responsible person is absent. Operations are VFR only, with no instrument approaches. Takeoff is permitted only on RWY 28R; departures in other directions are not allowed except in emergencies or strong easterly winds. The circuit is flown low over the city at about 500 ft above ground, with downwind and final legs close above Turin’s buildings. Arrival and departure procedures are influenced by proximity to Torino Caselle’s final approach and a prohibited area northeast of the field; careful review of approach charts is advised. AFIS provides service in English.

No landing fees are charged, and parking is free for up to three days. Example: taxi to the city center about €30. Grass parking areas are well maintained, and hard surface parking or hangar space may be available via the aeroclub. Avgas 100LL is available; payment is handled at the aeroclub office.

A restaurant and bar are located on site, closed on Mondays; advance phone notice to the club may allow access on Mondays. The airfield lies within Turin’s urban area, with underground metro access about 10 minutes on foot and taxi rides to the city center taking 15–20 minutes.
