Pecs/Pogany Airport (LHPP)

LHPP (Pécs-Pogány) is a friendly, efficient airport with light traffic and a 1500m lighted asphalt runway. Both ILS and RNP approaches are available, with ILS to RWY 34 and an NDB approach to RWY 16. VFR flights require a flight plan due to the surrounding ATZ airspace. ATC and ground staff communicate in good English and provide helpful service; procedures are straightforward, though opening hours vary seasonally and should be checked in advance. No mandatory handling applies.

Landing fees and parking are generally low, with total charges for landing plus one night parking typically below €30. Example: landing about €20; two days hangar about €60; landing plus overnight parking about €30. Hangar space is available but limited. Fuel options include Jet A-1, Avgas, and Mogas, all available from pumps with credit card payment accepted.

There is no on-field restaurant or café. The city of Pécs is 6–10 km from the airport; taxis to the city cost about €15–20 per direction and usually arrive within minutes. Public bus service is available, taking around 20 minutes at low cost.
