Multiple permissions, including from local military and Air Force Headquarters, are required and may take time to arrange; handling agents such as Skyserv and Goldair can assist with these approvals. Parking fees and other charges are considered high. No landing fee for general aviation is mentioned. Taxis are available at the airport, with a fare to Patras about €50. Customs is available on site, facilitating international departures. The airport operates as a joint military/civil field during summer, requiring PPR up to 20 days in advance.
