Civil Airfield Epernay Plivot (LFSW)

Two long, smooth grass runways (04/22 and 10/28) with grass taxiways; runway 04 is preferred with light winds. No tower or AFIS; use air-to-air calls on 123.5, which can be busy on approach but is field-specific at low altitude. English is permitted, but French is widely spoken. Gliding and motorgliding activity occurs nearby and at the field; check charts and VAC for details. Avgas available via Total self-service card, also possible via the aeroclub during operating hours. Parking is ample, directly in front of the main building or near the car park fence for easy access.

No landing or parking fees; landings are free of charge. Example: landing fee about €0. Taxis to town take about 10–15 minutes; Uber availability varies but can arrive within 15 minutes. The Kyriad Hotel is about 10 minutes by taxi and located near the Avenue de Champagne and town center (about 200 meters away). Restaurant options may be limited on Mondays.

The airfield is generally quiet, sometimes deserted even during posted opening hours. Procedures vary; see AIP/NOTAM.
