Nice grass aerodrome in the Grand Est region, located right on the Mosel and at the edge of the Vogesen. The grass runway is wide and in good condition. Taxiways as well, though there are some loose stones in places, so a bit of caution is advised. The field has no dedicated frequency; 123.5 is therefore quite busy, much of it unrelated to the aerodrome itself. Although English is theoretically permitted, it is better to transmit in French. No landing or parking fees. There is plenty of parking area to leave your aircraft. The clubhouse was locked, but I was warmly welcomed by friendly fellow pilots. On a Saturday there was some UL (ultralight) activity, but not much. About a 15 min walk away, in the village of Dogneville at the town hall (next to the church), rental bicycles are available; they can be unlocked and paid via the Vivolt app. With those you can ride leisurely along the Mosel to the town of ร‰pinal, 5 km away. For lunch, the pizzeria Le Capri is recommended; it can be reached on foot over the aqueduct in 10-15 min. Besides pizza, there are other Italian and French specialties at fair prices. On-site accommodation will reportedly be available soon above the new hangars. There is a bus stop next to the aerodrome, but it is currently not served by any scheduled bus route.

LFSE is a small airfield located 4 km north of Epinal, using the callsign "Epinal Dogneville" on frequency 123.5, which is shared with other airfields. The runway remains usable even after prolonged rain and in winter. Avgas is available during club opening hours; outside these times, fuel requires a carnet. No restaurant is on the field. There is no practical bus connection to the city; access is by taxi or with help from club members. The area offers pleasant walks along the river and channel. Example: landing fee about โ‚ฌ0.
