Civil Airfield Quiberon (LFEQ)

Quiberon airfield offers a scenic location on the peninsula with approaches over the sea and is popular for both its relaxed atmosphere and active parachuting operations. Parachutists land close to the runway, especially during weekends and summer, so circuit entry requires vigilance. The airfield is uncontrolled, with English-speaking ATS available Friday to Sunday from May to September; outside these times, only French A/A is available. Parking is on asphalt in a row, with steel tie-down cables provided—bring your own ropes.

Avgas is available via Total Card at self-service pumps; without a card, refuelling may require assistance from the aeroclub or is possible only during AFIS hours. Payment for landing fees can be made in the café when AFIS is off duty. Example: landing and three nights parking about €60. Another example: landing and overnight parking about €20.

The town center, hotels, restaurants, and beaches are 1–1.5 km away and walkable or easily reached by bicycle; bike rental is available at the airfield or can be delivered upon request. Several hotels are within 5–15 minutes on foot, including Hotel Ibis Thalassa, Hotel Europa (with shuttle), and Roch Priol. A camping site is located next to the airfield. A bistro/brasserie operates on site with open Wi-Fi.

No taxi service is guaranteed; taxis can be difficult to obtain without prior arrangement, especially in the evening or on weekends. Free shuttle service to some hotels may be available during daytime hours.

The runway is relatively short and subject to strong winds and turbulence near the coast. Backtracking is required as there are no taxiways; do not park on grass taxiways A1 or A2. Strictly observe noise abatement by keeping tight circuits due to nearby residential areas. The apron can become crowded during weekends and holidays.
