Joachim
Generously sized aerodrome; VFR and IFR ops possible. Very friendly, helpful staff. Self-service fuel pump with credit card, now operated by the aerodrome/EDEIS. 6/26 AVGAS 2,58€. Taxi to Perigeux € 25-35. Overnight at the centrally located Hotel Mercure. The city, with its very long history, is well worth seeing. Plenty of dining options in all price ranges. Landing and 2 days parking, MTOW 1,25to 41,38.

Report from July 2021:
Great airfield to visit the town of Périgueux or take a car and explore the Périgord. French not necessarily required, ATIS speaks English.Modest fees and nice people. Only drawback: AVGAS (TOTAL) quite expensive.
They waived us the parking fee for the one night, would have been around 11€ (calculated by MTOW and hours).

VFR arrivals are always possible without PPR or parking reservation. IFR is available Monday to Friday when AFIS is present; outside these times, coordination with Bordeaux is possible by phone for clearances, or depart VFR and pick up IFR airborne. Approaches include ILS and straightforward procedures, but the airfield can be unmanned at times. English is spoken by ATIS and staff. The airport is about 5 km from Périgueux; access to town is possible by bike or taxi, with a taxi fare example of €20. No on-field restaurant or café is available.
Fuel (Avgas) is available via Total self-service card; payment by credit card or cash may be possible when staff are present. Staff are described as friendly and helpful. Example: landing fee about €10. Parking fees may be waived for short stays; overnight parking example about €10–€11.
No customs/immigration service currently available; the airport is not an official port of entry. Procedures vary; see AIP/NOTAM.
The airfield is suitable for general aviation visits to the Dordogne region and Périgueux, with modest fees and straightforward operations, but limited on-field amenities.
