Eu Mers Le Treport Airport (LFAE)

No landing or parking fees. No fuel available except for a small emergency supply of Mogas; refuel at nearby airfields such as Amiens, Le Touquet, Abbeville, or Dieppe. The aeroclub has a bar and is described as welcoming. The airfield is typically unattended on weekdays and may be unstaffed at other times; use blind radio calls, English possible but most traffic uses French. Circuit and approaches are over the sea, with potential turbulence on approach to runway 05 due to the river mouth. The chalk cliffs near the field are about 350 ft high and offer scenic views; maintain position reports if flying low along the cliffs. No AFIS service. Taxis can be difficult to obtain; the nearest beach is about 3 km on foot, town center about 5 km, and hotels (Ibis Styles/Budget) are relatively close but access may be less straightforward than it appears due to terrain steps. Few hotels in Le Tréport; a free funicular in the old town provides access to the cliffs with city views.
