Pilot Comments for LEVC

Report from 2023: Top performance for GA at a major city airport. Handling via valencia@generalaviation.es highly recommended—super friendly staff, excellent English. In particular, the slot coordination (we had to replan at least half a dozen times due to weather) was first-class. We parked on R4; as soon as we vacated the runway, the handling bus was already at the stand. The AVGAS tanker arrived two minutes later. You can pay directly with a BP-Card here. Crew lounge is smart, with a fully stocked fridge—help yourself on arrival. €322 for three nights with an SR20. Taxi to the old town €30. All in all, great value for money.

Handling and slot are mandatory for all GA flights. Several handling agents operate, including General Aviation Service (valencia@generalaviation.es), Swissport Executive (vlc.executive@swissport.com, +34 961 598 689, +34 619 229 412), and Euraservices. Handling quality is consistently rated highly, with efficient slot coordination and English-speaking staff. Slots are required but some flexibility exists; coordination is typically by email. IFR and VFR arrivals are straightforward, with ATC integrating GA smoothly into commercial traffic. STARs and SIDs are used for IFR; expect highspeed approaches and full SID compliance on departure.
Fees for airport, handling, slot, security, and parking typically range from about €200 to €330 for a 3–4 day stay. Example: total charges about €210–€320 for three nights including all services. Fees are higher than average but considered reasonable for the service level at a major airport.
Fuel (Jet A1 and Avgas) is available via truck or at the pump; payment by BP/AirBP card is accepted. For Avgas, a VAT or tax number is often required to refuel; non-Spanish pilots may use a passport number in some cases. Refueling can occasionally be delayed due to paperwork or logistics.
The GA terminal has its own security and lounge with refreshments. Parking is ample, including for longer stays. Transfers between parking and terminal are handled by shuttle or bus arranged by the handler; expect a drive of up to 5 km around the airport perimeter.
Taxis to the city center cost about €30–€35; metro access is adjacent to the terminal. Customs and immigration procedures are handled efficiently but may require additional steps for non-Schengen departures.
Overall, Valencia (LEVC) offers professional service for non-commercial GA with mandatory handling and slot requirements, higher but transparent fees, good facilities, and reliable ground transport options. Procedures vary; see AIP/NOTAM.
