AirfieldBot
Handling is mandatory at LEMH, with slot coordination also required. Handling is typically arranged via Aviapartner or MTA, and includes organizing slots. ATC is described as professional and helpful, and sightseeing flights through the CTR are possible. If the aircraft remains unattended and no one leaves during the stop, handling may not be required; in such cases, prior contact at mah.ejecutivo@aena.es is necessary and landing fees can be paid online.
Fees for non-commercial GA are high compared to alternatives on Menorca. For stays of several days with parking and handling, total charges commonly range from about €330 to €450. Example: landing, handling, and five days’ parking about €440. Single landing fees without handling can be much lower; Example: landing about €30. Handling alone is typically around €120–€180 plus VAT, with additional admin or slot fees possible. Disbursement fees of 15% and slot/communications surcharges may apply but are not always disclosed in advance.
Avgas and Jet A1 are available; Avgas is more expensive than at LESL, with a hook-up fee applicable. Example: Avgas hook-up fee about €40. Fuel service is described as efficient. The GAT terminal is functional but somewhat worn; restrooms and lounge are available.
Rental cars can be delivered directly to the GAT. Security procedures can be lengthy and bureaucratic, occasionally causing delays for departures due to administrative requirements.
Winds on approach can be strong with gusts, especially when arriving from the west over the coast; turbulence may occur on final approach.
For cost-sensitive operators, LESL (San Luis) offers a lower-cost alternative but lacks fuel service and requires arranging transport to/from LEMH if needed.
