Airport Burgos/Villafria (LEBG) IFR

IFR approaches require careful preparation due to hilly terrain and frequent low overcast conditions; radar is not always available, and ATS may not be active even during IFR operations. Handling is not required. Parking and fuel are available without prior notice. Avgas is generally available, but supply can be limited and pump issues have occurred; checking availability in advance is advisable.

Fees are considered low for Spain. Example: landing, parking one night about €30. Filing a flight plan on site is possible. The airport is described as GA-friendly, with uncomplicated procedures and helpful staff.

The terminal has limited facilities; at times only vending machines for snacks and drinks are available. The city of Burgos, with its cathedral and historic center, is 7–15 minutes away by taxi, typically costing under €20. Procedures vary; see AIP/NOTAM.
