VFR operations are straightforward, with direct approaches possible and little traffic. Staff are notably helpful, and ground crew assist with parking and securing aircraft. Handling fees may include surcharges during holidays. Example: landing about €30, parking about €10 per night, handling about €40. Avgas is not available. Cash in local currency is commonly used for payments such as taxis; an ATM is located in the terminal. Taxis are not usually present outside commercial flight times, but staff can arrange one on request. The airport operates 0600–2200 and uses the full runway length for departures. Plovdiv city offers attractions and low prices.
