You can‘t go wrong with this scenic airport! Arrived on an RNAV, landed with lots of tail and crosswind on the recommended runway, but still no big deal. Tietown provided and recommended. Super nice staff. Stayed for one night for $40, but definitely worth it.

Spectacular location on a mesa with unique scenery and panoramic views of the surrounding Red Rocks. The approach and departure require attention due to the elevated terrain and potential for tricky winds, especially with strong southerlies causing rotors. The airport features a well-regarded FBO with friendly, helpful staff and a car rental counter in the small terminal. Accommodation is available at a hotel directly adjacent to the runway, and there is a good on-field restaurant.
