We went there in an SR22 with 2 POB. Excellent airfield to fly IFR to, but read the NOTAMs carefully. The tower was closed on the day (Saturday) we flew there. The field remains open for landing, but you are then on your own for the approach and landing—effectively transmitting blind. After landing there was literally no one on the field. Everything was closed. No one was at the flying club next to the terminal either. We also received no reply to the emails we sent to the flying club. In practice you can’t get on or off the field then. The airfield is a good base for visiting the Saab Museum. In the end we didn’t pay anything for the landing.

IFR approaches include ILS to one runway and RNP LVP to both runways. The airport operates 24 hours; when AFIS or tower is not staffed, self-service procedures apply, and landings remain permitted. Lighting can be activated via the tower frequency if arriving after hours, and access to the airside may be restricted to exit-only after closure.
Fuel service is prompt, with a fuel truck typically arriving quickly after request. Payment for fuel and services is accepted via Visa or Mastercard, or by invoice sent by email; AirBP card is not accepted.
Parking fees vary: one example shows about €60 for five days, while another notes four days of free parking. Example: landing fee about €40. Taxi to Trollhättan city or the Saab Museum takes around 10 minutes and costs about €20.
