Ringsted Airport (EKRS)

EKRS offers a well-maintained grass runway and operates as a non-towered airfield with straightforward radio procedures; no flight director is required. Self-service payment for landing fees is available at the clubhouse. AvGas is available via a self-service pump that now accepts major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Maestro) without local assistance. No restaurant is on the field, but a basic accommodation with two beds is available. There are no visitor hangars; bring tie-down equipment for parking on grass.

Ground access to Copenhagen is practical: a bus or a 30-minute walk leads to the train station, followed by about 45 minutes by train to the city. The airfield community is described as friendly and helpful, sometimes offering rides to Ringsted station.
