PPR is required for landing. The airport has intersecting asphalt runways, generally in good to excellent condition, though 17/35 can be bumpy. Opening hours are limited and the airfield may close as early as 15:00 on some days; an out-of-hours permit is available from OPS in Oban for departures outside published times. No fuel is available. Payment for landing fees is cash only (Sterling); cards are not accepted and there is no nearby ATM. Example: landing fee about £22. The airport staff are friendly and helpful with PPR and onward arrangements.
Car and bicycle hire are not available directly at the airfield, but local providers can be contacted (bicycles: 07552089419; cars: 01879220555). The nearest beach and a small supermarket are about 15 minutes on foot from the airport; a café is located along the route back to the airfield. For accommodation, hotels are found in Scarinish, which is best reached by taxi. Cycling is popular on the island, with many beaches nearby and opportunities for wild camping.
No high-visibility vests are required. Sheep and cattle may be present in the area. Procedures vary; see AIP/NOTAM.
