Booked via a Friend at Ravenair. Very nice guys and seems very orientated towards GA - all booked in and explained IFR arrival. So they'll arrange that with ATC for you.
Be careful with what time you plan to arrive, as ATC seems to close as per NOTAM and will contact you if your arrival time is close or around the time you are due to arrive.
JetA1 on the landing so didn't need to do it on the day of departure. Lounge facilities for passengers allow you to concentrate as PIC on the task at hand.

Liverpool John Lennon Airport requires PPR, which is easily arranged via Ravenair by phone (0151-486-6161 or 0151-728-4723) or email (ops@ravenair.co.uk), with typically quick responses. Handling is mandatory and provided by Ravenair, who offer efficient, friendly service and are oriented towards general aviation. Handling fees are on the higher side for the region but considered acceptable for an airport of this size; Example: handling about £100, landing about £70, parking about £30. Discounts on handling and parking may be available. A courtesy car to the main terminal is included in the handling fee, and rental cars can be delivered to the GA terminal. Taxis or rideshares to the city cost around £30 each way.
IFR arrivals are usually vectored to the ILS, with STARs and procedural approaches also published; expect radar vectors and sometimes a late turn onto final due to Manchester traffic coordination. VFR joins use a one-way system: for runway 27, enter via Oulton Park and exit via Chester; for runway 09, enter via Chester and exit via Oulton Park. Holding points include Helsby Hill (27) and Cheshire Oaks retail park (09). Liverpool controls airspace up to 2500 ft; VFR traffic stays below 1500 ft, IFR between 1500–2500 ft.
Fuel (AvGas and JetA1) is available promptly through Ravenair at competitive prices. Lounge facilities with refreshments are available in the GA terminal. The airport has full IFR capabilities and modern facilities but is relatively quiet for its size. Procedures vary; see AIP/NOTAM.
