Early April 2017, everything still as previously described: friendly reception, straightforward and pleasant approach, and well-maintained RWYs. The flight information officer was extremely helpful and entertaining, with weather and tips for accommodation. Would gladly come again!

Since the previous report is 8 years old and Wyk auf Föhr is such a great destination: It is one of the most visited destinations of my wife and I. It's such an enjoyable place with friendly people. The approach is beautiful, the beach is just around the corner and it's an easy walk into town. We usually have lunch in the Sydbar of the Upstalsboom Hotel with a beach view. It's a highly recommended place for lunch (though the restaurant at the airfield itself is also fine). For those who stay longer, the island has a lot to offer.
