The airfield is not a public airport and operates under strict noise abatement rules; special approach and departure procedures must be followed exactly, with no standard traffic pattern and final approaches offset by 20 degrees due to noise-sensitive neighbors. The runway has a noticeable slope (2.7%) and is not in perfect condition but remains usable; there is a significant elevation change of about 40 feet over its length.

There is no fuel available and no on-field restaurant, though a golf club restaurant is located about 500 meters away. Hangarage may be possible with prior arrangement, and overnight parking is available. Public transport access is convenient, with a bus stop approximately 150 meters from the airfield providing quick connections to Stuttgart and Ludwigsburg.
