Civil Airfield Imsweiler (EDRQ)

EDRQ operates as a Sonderlandeplatz, accessible without special bureaucracy for E-Klasse aircraft. The official runway 07/25 measures 490 meters with a slight uphill gradient to the west, but the usable length is about 530 meters, plus an adjacent glider launch area of approximately 200 meters at an angle. The runway is wide and mostly level, though the terrain west and north of the field is higher and features wind turbines, making the approach distinctive. Parking is directly next to the runway on slightly sloped ground. No landing fee applies; a small cash donation to the club is welcomed. The airfield is staffed on Sundays during summer; PPR applies on other days. Facilities include a modern clubhouse in container style with drinks available. The location is remote, with Rockenhausen 4 km away; from there, regional trains reach Kaiserslautern in 29 minutes.
