Ansbach Petersdorf Airport (EDQF)

Very friendly atmosphere with helpful staff and a welcoming club environment. The airfield has a well-maintained grass runway, though the surface can be somewhat bumpy, so attention to propeller clearance is advised. The circuit area lies within the Ansbach CTR and is clearly defined by a valley; the southern circuit may have turbulence due to nearby woods, and the airfield is not visible from the south downwind leg. Approaches are uncomplicated, but PPR may be required on weekdays, with occasional communication issues reported.

Landing fees are described as low. Example: landing fee about €5. Avgas and SuperPlus fuel are available. Parking is available in front of the tower; note that the grassy area east of the small taxiway does not belong to the airfield. Drinks are available from a vending machine in the clubhouse, and there is a restaurant with hot meals nearby.

Travel to Ansbach takes about 15 minutes by car and costs around €25 for a taxi. The location is rural, with a typical club atmosphere and annual fly-in event. Procedures vary; see AIP/NOTAM.
