Civil Airfield Schwabmuenchen (EDNS)

Small, mainly glider and ultralight airfield with a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Grass runway generally in good condition, though sometimes slightly bumpy; two narrow paths cross the runway but do not pose problems for landing gear. Circuit is kept tight for noise abatement, with avoidance of nearby villages required. When gliding is active, approach from the south and join overhead; for runway 26, avoid a single farmhouse with crane on right on approach and turn left as soon as possible after departure. Example: landing fee about €10. Mogas fuel available. Weekday operations are on request or PPR; phone contact may be unreliable at times.
