Civil Airfield Altena Hegenscheid (EDKD)

PPR is required. Approach uses an automated announcement system. Backtrack on the runway is permitted and may be necessary for takeoff. The grass runway is described as short but well maintained, with a reported usable length of about 630 meters. Some turbulence may occur on final for runway 06. Payment is made in the on-field restaurant, which has a terrace and offers a welcoming atmosphere; the restaurant may not always be open. The airfield is operated by the local Aero Club and serves as a starting point for hiking and access to Iserlohn.
