Bad Kissingen Airport (EDFK)

EDFK features a well-maintained grass runway and taxiways, with parking available on grass in excellent condition. The airfield operates with PPR, which can be arranged via the website form or by phone; confirmation may be provided by WhatsApp. Standard operations favor landing on 17 and departure on 35 to minimize noise over the town, and the runway may be hard to spot from the south until final approach. During midday (typically 13:00–15:00 local), arrivals and departures are not permitted; plan arrivals before 13:00 and departures after 15:00. Procedures vary; see AIP/NOTAM.

Fees are low. Example: landing fee about €10, overnight parking about €10 per night. Bicycles are available at no charge, making the short ride into Bad Kissingen quick and convenient; walking to the city center takes 7–20 minutes depending on route. No on-field restaurant or café is currently available, but helpful staff may assist with transport into town.
