Large grass airfield with intersecting runways, generally in excellent condition and suitable for various aircraft types. Operations include gliding and parachuting, which are well coordinated but require heightened attention during arrival and departure. The airfield lacks Avgas; Mogas is available via hand pump from a nearby station. No on-field restaurant exists, though a kiosk may be present at times; the Pizzeria Steakhaus Roma in Neustadt-Glewe is recommended, with taxi fare about €15. Accommodation is available at the Fliegerheim on the field. Tie-downs can be borrowed if needed. Example: landing and two days’ parking about €20. The atmosphere is welcoming, with helpful staff and local pilots.
