Civil Airfield Kortrijk/Wevelgem (EBKT)

Kortrijk-Wevelgem (EBKT) offers both VFR and IFR operations, with RNP approaches and departures available. The airport operates outside controlled airspace with AFIS, and a radio mandatory zone (RMZ) is established due to frequent jet movements; VFR arrivals are expected to enter via designated VRPs (N or S). Facilities include the New Biggles restaurant in the terminal, which is highly regarded but not cheap; reservations are recommended due to its popularity. Coffee and snacks are available from vending machines, and an aeroclub bar/restaurant opens later in the day. A hotel is located adjacent to the airport, with another option about 300 m away; Kortrijk city center is approximately 4 km from the field. The bus station is directly outside the airport.

Customs/immigration are available on site without prior notice required for arrivals from abroad. Passports are checked by police at the terminal entrance, with a computer terminal used for address registration.

Noise abatement includes avoiding overflight of nearby areas such as Morseele, and non-commercial departures are not permitted before 10:00 local time on weekends. Parachute activity occurs north of the field; caution is advised.
